About Us

GradBridge Consulting is intended to be a nonprofit alternative to a traditional college consultant; we are working to establish connections to local organizations and universities often overlooked by other counseling/consulting organizations. Additionally, we hope to provide resources for students in underprivileged or communities who may not otherwise have access to expert advice on postgraduate opportunities. We aim to be more specialized in illuminating paths available to students after graduating high school than a typical school counselor, but we hope to be broader than most college consultants, which charge an average of $250 per hour and focus almost exclusively on highly selective private universities.

By partnering with local school districts, colleges, and community organizations, we hope to provide our services as a supplement to the resources already available to students through their schools. We hope to provide more in-depth consulting services than a school counselor at a similar hourly rate, though we will have further reduced costs for school districts as GradBridge will be paid through a contract and will thus not require the same benefits as a full-time school employee.

GradBridge is a new consulting firm started by Thomas Walsh, a rising junior at The University of Alabama, and aims to serve all of Central and West Alabama. We hope to grow our team of consultants by recruiting the highest-quality students at UA to advise a large number of students in Tuscaloosa County and the surrounding region.
