You will have access to a wide range of support and advice, from health and wellbeing to managing your money and study skills. Whether students are looking for financial advice, visa and immigration guidance, specialised career support for international students, help with health and wellbeing, information about careers and global opportunities, disability support or childcare facilities, mentoring and study skills sessions, residence support, or assistance with settling into university – support teams will be on hand to help.
The Centre for Student Life houses the Student Connect team, serving as the primary point of contact for accessing various student support services.
All Cardiff University students benefit from an assigned personal tutor throughout their studies to help with academic matters, and a student mentor can help student to settle into student life.
Postgraduate students can enjoy dedicated facilities and services, including postgraduate-only social events and trips – a great way to meet other postgraduates, join the Students’ Union Postgraduate Association or discover one of our free language courses. Research students also have access to additional resources through the Doctoral Academy.

Funding opportunities
