Fabrication laboratory
Our award-winning Fabrication Laboratory is an innovative hub for making and creative technologies, a centre for teaching and learning, and technology research. It houses purpose-built studios, labs, prototyping workshops, project spaces, a specialist print bureau, and a sustainable materials centre.
In this state-of-the-art facility, you can explore a wide range of techniques, from 3D printing in various materials like PLA (Polylactic Acid), nylon, and clay, to crafting by hand using wood, metal, plastics, and hot works. You’ll also have access to advanced digital manufacturing tools such as CNC routers, mills, and robotic arms. The Lab also includes an immersive technology studio for virtual exploration of projects and designs, and a video studio for producing professional-quality images and films.
As an architecture student, you'll have frequent access to the Fabrication Lab, engaging hands-on with materials and models to develop and realise your designs.
