How we produce, distribute and consume food will fundamentally alter over the next few years. While the current global challenges present risks to business operations, they also bring vast opportunities for growth. The acceleration of the digital shift is set to play a key role in the transition towards purpose-led businesses that have at their heart the health of the people and planet, and a commitment to align with fundamental principles of sustainability. It will require the shaping of a new circular, regenerative economic model that can demonstrate both adaptability and resilience.
The pandemic has triggered an unprecedented demand for solutions that are here to stay, with companies increasingly using strategies to be more efficient, transparent, and accountable. Digital and technological based tools enable supply chain transparency, greater collaboration, and decision-making, while also having the potential to boost corporate sustainability credentials.
As the digital transformation unfolds, companies will face challenges related to digital skills gaps, social exclusion and inequalities. To future-proof the workforce, brands need to design their digital strategies putting people first, prioritising inclusion and reskilling or upskilling their employees, while also supporting less tech-savvy consumers as they transition to digital channels. These changes are gaining support across most Governments – as a result there is huge demand to deliver the skills and knowledge training required. This MBA will meet the need for managers across the globe to understand the risks and monumental opportunities that the fourth agricultural revolution will bring.
