The University of Stirling is an international university committed to helping students make a difference in the world. With over 90 postgraduate courses, including a portfolio of online courses, we equip our graduates with the knowledge, expertise and employability skills needed to succeed in the workplace.

Student life

Our beautiful 330-acre campus is located within an hour of both Edinburgh and Glasgow. With an Olympic-sized swimming pool, on-site cinema and more than a dozen restaurants, bars and delis, it’s easy to see why we’ve earned a five-star rating for our facilities (QS Stars University Ratings 2021).

The University of Stirling is also Scotland’s University for Sporting Excellence. Our students also benefit from more than 50 sports clubs, dozens of weekly exercise classes and non-competitive sports programmes – while our award-winning Students’ Union supports over 80 clubs and societies to help you explore and share your passions.

Careers and employability
At Stirling, our postgraduate students gain more than a degree. From internships and work placements to help finding a job, our Careers and Employability Service gives you the support and advice you need to plan your career, develop your employability or advance to further study.

That’s why we're ranked 1st in Scotland and Top 5 in the UK for our careers services (UK ISB and Global ISB Benchmark 2018).


 

Research with impact
Our world-leading academics are experts in their fields, and our teaching explores this cutting-edge research to make an impact on society. Stirling is rated top 10 in the UK for Postgraduate Teaching and Learning  (PTES) 2021, and 80% of Stirling’s research was classed as either world leading or internationally excellent in the most recent Research Excellence Framework (REF 2021).
