Student experience and employability
You have access to careers support from the moment you arrive and up to two years after graduating. As well as the support you receive from the central careers service, you'll also have access to dedicated careers support from the business school.
There are a range of social and academic events throughout the year to help make the most of your student experience. You’ll have the opportunity to attend a series of Inspiring Leaders talks, career and employability sessions, personal development workshops, and cultural events to give you insight into different career paths and the business environment. In addition, special guest lectures complement the learning and teaching objectives of your degree programme.
Students also have access to our Student Support and Wellbeing service, which is a service exclusively for Adam Smith Business School students. Our 3 Student Support and Wellbeing Advisers are here to help you be and feel your best, academically, socially and emotionally.
The valuable skills and experience you gain as part of extra and co-curricular activities undertaken with your programme are recognised by our Adam Smith Skills Award. The Adam Smith Skills Award acknowledges your commitment and achievements and represents the breadth of your skills in a chosen pathway. By completing the Adam Smith Skills Award, you receive a certificate upon graduation and acknowledgment on your Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR) – an extended degree transcript which details both your academic and extracurricular accomplishments.
